The Home and School Association at Jenks is reinvigorating some standing committees. One is the The Public Relations and Advocacy subcommittee headed by Jenk's First grade parent Haviva Goldman. Haviva has organized a book club to discuss books that address involving communities in public education. Please join us on December 13th.

Memory of Last Year, The Day Before 2nd Grade

The memory of last year that sticks out in my mind, aside from the fact that Alex had a great year both socially and academically, was the painting of the playground.
An event that really exemplified school community. We had many families and kids going beyond the call of duty and putting in hours of work! At the end of the day, we created the world.
A lesson in organization, patience and geography. All who participated were happy to have it done but I think we all enjoyed the time we spent together as a Jenks' family.
